London Met's Student Enterprise at Accelerator

London Metropolutan University's Student Enterprise Programme is housed at the Accelerator. Ensuring that we keep a high level of commercial focus, whilst exposing our students to a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.

The Student Enterprise Programme offers:

Internships

Student Enterprise runs an internship programme for its students and the clients of the Accelerator. Students are individually chosen and placed for a limited period in a small business. The benefits are two-fold with the student gaining professional business experience for university credit and the business gaining temporary support for specific projects.

Business Support

We run a series of commercial focused training and events where students learn alongside established small business owners from the Accelerator and its partner projects, which aid and encourage interaction and networking with business professionals.

 

Business Plan Competition

Alongside this training, Student Enterprise runs an annual Business Plan Competition, where students pitch their ideas against their peers to business experts for the chance to gain financial investment to kick-start their business.

 

The Hatchery

Student Enterprise developed and manages a work space within the Accelerator called The Hatchery, which houses student start up businesses. This work space allows students to develop their business in a stimulating and innovative environment whilst receiving the support needed from Accelerator and its clients.
